What to expect at a workshop

Our free estate planning workshops are the way most Oklahoma families meet us. Here is what happens at one.

How much do your estate planning workshops cost?

Nothing. Our estate planning workshops are free to attend, and there is no obligation of any kind afterward. We hold them because a family that understands how estate planning actually works makes better decisions, whether or not they ever hire us.

What is covered in the workshop?

Our workshop is the Path to Planning Workshop Series, and it runs about an hour. Each month carries its own theme, so the hour stays timely, and the current one is named on our workshops page. Every session walks through the specific ways plans quietly stop working, assets never funded into a trust, beneficiary designations that contradict the trust, plans that were never updated after a life change, and what fixing each one actually looks like. It is taught in plain language, not legal vocabulary.

Where and how often are the workshops held?

We hold the workshop at our Norman office at 1770 West Main Street, and in the Oklahoma City metro at the White Buffalo Event Center, 4601 N May Avenue, where you can choose a 1:00 pm or a 6:00 pm session. Choose whichever is closer to you. There is one sign-up for each location, it takes about a minute, and it shows you the dates currently open.

Will someone try to sell me something at the workshop?

No. There is no pitch and no pressure at the end of the session. If you want to go further after hearing it, the next step is a Right Fit Call, which you request yourself. Plenty of people attend, take what they learned, and go fix their existing plan with their own attorney, and that is a good outcome too.

Should I bring my spouse or my current documents?

Bring your spouse or partner if you have one, because estate planning decisions are rarely made well by one person alone. You do not need to bring documents. The workshop is about understanding how plans fail, not about reviewing yours, and a real review of your existing documents deserves a private conversation rather than a room.

More questions are answered on our estate planning FAQ, or ask us yours on a Right Fit Call.

Is your plan built to grow with your family?

Estate planning is a process, not an event. Start with a Right Fit Call: a short, no-pressure conversation to see whether we are the right firm for your family, and what a plan that walks alongside you would look like.
