For families considering a plan

How do we keep our children's inheritance in the family, even through a divorce?

A properly designed trust can keep an inheritance protected for your children and grandchildren rather than passing it outright. If a child later divorces, faces a lawsuit, or struggles with money, the assets you leave can remain in the bloodline instead of leaving the family. This is one of the most common reasons families choose our Lifetime Protection Plan™.

What happens if we die without an estate plan in Oklahoma?

Without a will or trust, Oklahoma law decides who receives your property, and the court supervises the process through probate, which is public, slower, and more expensive than a well-built plan. Guardianship of minor children is decided by a judge rather than by you. A coordinated estate plan lets you make those decisions yourself.

What is the difference between a will and a trust?

A will directs where your property goes but still passes through probate. A revocable living trust lets your family avoid probate, keeps your affairs private, and lets a plan work smoothly if you become incapacitated. For most families we serve, a trust-centered plan provides far more protection and control.

Why do so many estate plans fail?

Most plans fail not because they were drafted wrong, but because they were never maintained. Assets are not properly moved into the trust, the law changes, families change, and a plan signed years ago no longer matches real life. That is exactly why our Lifetime Protection Plan includes ongoing maintenance.

For our members and clients

What does Estate Planners for Life include, and did we sign up for it?

You did not have to. Every family with a Lifetime Protection Plan is part of it from the day the plan is complete. It covers regular plan reviews, updates as your circumstances shift, Member education, and a standing relationship with our team so your plan actually works the day your family needs it.

How often should our estate plan be reviewed?

At least every few years, and any time a major life event occurs, a marriage or divorce, a birth or death, a business sale, a move, or a significant change in assets. Members of our maintenance program are reviewed on a regular cadence so nothing falls out of date.

For financial advisors & CPAs

How do you work with a client's existing financial advisor or accountant?

We plan with your professionals, not around them. Estate planning works best when the attorney, the financial advisor, and the CPA are coordinated, and we are built to be the estate-planning partner in that relationship. Your clients stay yours; we make you look good.

Can we co-host a workshop or planning session for our clients?

Yes. Co-hosted workshops and quarterly planning briefings are a core part of how we work with advisor partners. Visit our Planning Partners page or start a Right Fit Call to talk through it.

For planned giving & charitable planning

Can our estate plan include gifts to our church or a charity?

Absolutely. Charitable and planned giving can be woven into your plan in ways that support the causes you love, often with meaningful tax advantages, while still providing for your family. We help you express what matters to you, not just distribute what you own.

Is your plan built to grow with your family?

Estate planning is a process, not an event. Start with a Right Fit Call: a short, no-pressure conversation to see whether we are the right firm for your family, and what a plan that walks alongside you would look like.
