Dear Clients and Friends of Cain & Cain:
Our Estate Planners for Life™ Program will kick off the year with the 2017 Annual Client Meetings. Some of our colleagues in the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys choose to refer to their similar series of meetings as Annual Family Reunions. I did not fully appreciate why they did that when Tammy and I first joined the Network in 2009. I do now.
Over the past eight years, we have had the honor of not just meeting you, but really getting to know you, your families, and your loved ones. We have helped guide you through the process of really understanding your personal estate planning goals and objectives and how to visualize the way you want your loved ones taken care of in the event of your disability or death. We have worked with you in the challenging and sometimes frustrating pursuit of a properly and fully funded revocable living trust. We have been there to see how the mental disability of one of our members actually plays out in reality and how the member’s thoughtful planning with guidelines and instructions made it much easier on their helpers and family. Moreover, we have mourned with the loved ones of a departed member of our program and genuinely felt the sense of loss of that individual’s presence in our client family.
That is why when we look out at the group in attendance and see your faces in the crowd we really are happy to see you again and get caught up on what has been happening in your lives. The sense of “family” and “reunion” is real and inspires us, and hopefully you as well, to keep our mutual commitments to work together to create estate plans that work by ultimately meeting your future expectations.
By now, each of you should have received a letter explaining the focus of our 2017 Annual Client Meetings and instructions on how to register for your preferred date and time. Many of you have already registered. If you did not received the letter for some reason or have misplaced your registration form, please contact us immediately so we can send you another one. We need to know by February 10th which meeting you plan to attend. Let me conclude by encouraging each and every one of you to register and attend. It has been our experience that you will be glad you did! -Marty
